{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-174.500","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 174.500","heading":"Definitions for KRS 174.500 to 174.510.","body":"As used in KRS 174.500 to 174.510, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Department\" means the Department of Aviation;\n(2) \"State aircraft\" means aircraft owned by the Commonwealth, leased by the\nCommonwealth, or otherwise under the control of the Co mmonwealth and\nadministratively assigned to the department. It shall also include air charters by the\ndepartment. However, this shall not include or apply to any and all aircraft assigned\nto, owned, leased, operated, or controlled by the Department of Kent ucky State\nPolice, or otherwise under the control or direction of the Department of Kentucky\nState Police. The operation, maintenance, scheduling, and care of Department of\nKentucky State Police aircraft shall not be included under or affected by KRS\n174.500 to 174.510; and\n(3) \"Official business\" means any activity involving travel in a state aircraft if the\nactivity is reasonably required, expected, or appropriate, considering the nature of\nthe using public official's job responsibilities.
