{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-175.525","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 175.525","heading":"Toll-road identification card -- Exemptions from tolls.","body":"(1) The authority or the cabinet shall establish by administrative regulation promulgated\npursuant to KRS Chapter 13A a toll -road identification card to be provided to\npaying and nonpaying users of toll facilities. The toll -road identification cards shall\nbe i ssued through an application process. A fee that shall not exceed five dollars\n($5) may be established for the issuance of each card.\n(2) Upon application, nonpaying accounts shall be established for:\n(a) State police, local police, and fire department veh icles while the vehicles are\nbeing operated in an official capacity on a turnpike project;\n(b) Emergency vehicles operated by an ambulance service while the vehicles are\nbeing operated in an official capacity, in both emergency and nonemergency\nsituations on a turnpike project;\n(c) Funeral processions on turnpike projects; and\n(d) School district vehicles while the vehicles are being operated in an official\ncapacity on turnpike projects.\n(3) To receive the exemption contained in subsection (2) of this secti on, an ambulance\nservice shall be licensed by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.","path":["KRS Chapter 175"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5084","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:25Z","sha256":"2c9ba71638850c699ec6353ac6e95981aa937e794a0d4c0e7a7fe1d9ce3d72c6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-175.520","next":"us-ky/krs-175.530"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
