{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-175.610","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 175.610","heading":"Transfer of turnpike to highway system after retirement of bonds.","body":"Except as hereinafter provided in this section, when all bonds issued under the provisions\nof this chapter in connection with any turnpike project or projects and the interest thereon\nshall have been paid or a sufficient amount for the payment of all such bonds and the\ninterest thereon to the maturity thereof shall have been set aside in trust for the benefit of\nthe bondholders, such project or projects, if then in good condition and repair, shall be\nconveyed by the authority to the Commonwealth and shall b ecome part of the state\nhighway system and shall thereafter be maintained by the department free of tolls;\nprovided, however, that the department may, in any proceedings or trust indenture\nauthorizing or securing bonds under the provisions of this chapter,  provide for combining\nfor financing purposes any two (2) or more turnpike projects theretofore constructed or\nthereafter to be constructed, and for the reimposition or continuance of tolls on each such\nturnpike project until all such bonds and the interes t thereon shall have been paid or a\nsufficient amount for such purposes shall have been set aside in trust for the benefit of the\nbondholders.","path":["KRS Chapter 175"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5094","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:26Z","sha256":"dad4ae3c3de761b9743c7f405f34380ff5c91e1b191567c7c7040e2c895e9b22","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-175.605","next":"us-ky/krs-175.620"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
