{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-175.620","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 175.620","heading":"Preliminary expenses of turnpike project.","body":"The department is hereby authorized in its discretion to expend such moneys as may be\nnecessary for the study of any turnpike project or projects and to use its engineering and\nother forces and employ consulting engineers and traffic engineers for the purp ose of\neffecting such study, and to pay for such additional engineering and traffic and other\nexpert studies as it may deem expedient. All such expenses incurred by the department\nprior to the issuance of turnpike revenue bonds under the provisions of this  chapter shall\nbe paid by the department and charged to the appropriate turnpike project or projects, and\nthe department shall keep proper records and accounts showing each amount so charged.\nUpon the sale of turnpike revenue bonds of the authority for any  turnpike project or\nprojects, the funds so expended by the department in connection with such project or\nprojects may be reimbursed by the authority to the department from the proceeds of such\nbonds if provision to that effect is made in the proceedings o r trust indenture authorizing\nand securing such bonds.","path":["KRS Chapter 175"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5095","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:26Z","sha256":"68607fb61de37e19e7ae5e606842207ef5166d8b0752c9a6adf5cc9cc982f846","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-175.610","next":"us-ky/krs-175.630"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
