{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-175.760","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 175.760","heading":"Definitions for KRS 175.750 to 175.810.","body":"As used in KRS 175.750 to 175.810, and as applied to the financing of construction,\nreconstruction, resurfacing, and relocation of economic development roads by the\nTurnpike Authority of Kentucky, the following words and phrases shall have the\nfollowing re spective meanings unless another or different meaning or intent shall be\nclearly indicated by the context.\n(1) \"Authority\" shall mean the Turnpike Authority of Kentucky duly organized and\nexisting pursuant to the provisions of KRS 175.410 to 175.690, inclusive.\n(2) \"Bonds\" or \"economic development road revenue bonds\" shall mean economic\ndevelopment road revenue bonds of the authority issued under the provisions of\nKRS 175.780. No bonds may be issued for terms exceeding twenty-five (25) years.\n(3) \"Cabinet\" shall mean the Transportation Cabinet of Kentucky or, if said cabinet\nshall be abolished, the cabinet, board, bureau, body or commission succeeding to\nthe principal functions thereof or to whom the powers vested in the cabinet shall be\ngiven or transferred by law.\n(4) \"Economic development road project\" or \"project\" shall mean the construction,\nreconstruction, or relocation of any highway, road, or thoroughfare or such part or\nparts thereof as shall have been designated by the cabinet to constitute a part o f the\neconomic development road system of the Commonwealth, which project may\ninclude the construction, reconstruction, repair, or relocation of highways, roads,\nthoroughfares, bridges, tunnels, overpasses, underpasses, interchanges, approaches,\nand connecting highways.\n(5) \"Notes\" shall mean any economic development road revenue bond anticipation\nnotes, or any economic development road revenue notes. Revenue bond anticipation\nnotes shall be payable from the proceeds of bonds, renewal notes, or income and\nrevenues derived from the leasing by the authority of any project or projects to the\ncabinet. Revenue notes shall be payable solely from income and revenues derived\nfrom the leasing by the authority of any project or projects to the cabinet. Notes may\nbe issued for terms not to exceed five (5) years.\n(6) All words and phrases which are defined and used in KRS 175.410 to 175.690 and\n175.990, inclusive, shall have the same meaning or meanings when used in KRS\n175.750 to 175.810, except that the words and phras es \"turnpike project\" or\n\"project\" as used in said identified sections shall mean and refer to economic\ndevelopment road projects constructed and financed pursuant to KRS 175.750 to\n175.810.","path":["KRS Chapter 175"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5104","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:26Z","sha256":"9ec0ecec642026a3504aa60019062706c27366d870ca8b939ae0d287518be5f2","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-175.750","next":"us-ky/krs-175.770"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
