{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-175b.090","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 175B.090","heading":"Maintenance and repair of projects -- Restoration of or compensation for","body":"damaged private property -- Permitted leases.\n(1) Each project constructed or operated under this chapter shall be maintained and kept\nin good condition and repair by the develo ping authority, which may contract with\nthe department or with any local highway department for maintenance of a project.\n(2) All private property damaged or destroyed in carrying out the powers granted by\nthis chapter shall be restored or repaired and pla ced in its original condition as\nnearly as practicable or adequate compensation shall be made out of funds provided\nunder this chapter.\n(3) All counties, cities, towns, and other political subdivisions and all public agencies\nand commissions of the Commonw ealth, notwithstanding any contrary provision of\nlaw, may lease, lend, grant, or convey to an authority any real property which may\nbe necessary or convenient to the effectuation of the authorized purposes of the\nauthority, including public roads and other  real property already devoted to public\nuse.\n(4) In obtaining property under this chapter, an authority shall pursue the acquisition\nunder the procedures and mandates of KRS 416.540 to 416.670.","path":["KRS Chapter 175B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5151","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:26Z","sha256":"455c9f99a208049c11dd97b31b2e588374322ff1bc08e749d4f360fdda3e64f9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-175b.085","next":"us-ky/krs-175b.095"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
