{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-176.130","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 176.130","heading":"Certificates of eligibility for contractors -- Application -- When necessary.","body":"(1) Every person who seeks to procure, bid upon, or offer to bid upon any contract with\nthe department for the construction or maintenance of any public road or any\nsection thereof, before procuring a proposal form or submitting any bid to obtain\nsuch contract, shall procure a certificate of eligibility from the department to bid on\nsuch work.\n(2) All applications for a certificate of eligibility shall be made to the departme nt in\nwriting, and the department shall act upon the application within thirty (30) days\nafter the application is filed.\n(3) A certificate of eligibility is not necessary where the department purchases\nequipment, material and supplies directly, except in t he case of the purchase of\ncrushed stone in lots of more than one thousand (1,000) tons, or bituminous\nmaterials in tank car lots.","path":["KRS Chapter 176"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5183","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:27Z","sha256":"242c8ed83d492c7377d6629e6d521bee3d68560940f172033e98669ccf1d7ec9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-176.128","next":"us-ky/krs-176.140"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
