{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-176.160","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 176.160","heading":"Issuance or denial of certificate -- Effect.","body":"(1) After obtaining such information as it deems necessary relative to the qualification\nof the applicant, the department shall determine whether or not the applicant is\neligible to bid upon road contracts. The department shall promptly notify all\napplicants of its final action on their applications.\n(2) If the department determines that the applicant is eligible, it shall issue to him a\ncertificate of eligibility which shall entitle the applicant to bid upon any contract\nwith the department for the constructio n or maintenance of any public road or\nsection thereof upon which bids are being asked.\n(3) If the department determines that the applicant is ineligible to bid, it shall reject the\napplication and refuse to issue the certificate of eligibility, and the ap plicant shall\nnot thereafter make application for a certificate of eligibility until he is qualified,\nboth financially and in all other ways.","path":["KRS Chapter 176"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5186","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:27Z","sha256":"96ce3e7097a918c18d9f19f0b7f7b4491ddb2353fd39bd69e02481f546f5452b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-176.150","next":"us-ky/krs-176.170"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
