{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-176.240","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 176.240","heading":"Federal aid for road building -- Cooperation by department -- Allocation","body":"of funds.\n(1) The department may contract with the federal government in regard to the survey,\nconstruction and maintenance of roads under any Act of Congress providing federal\naid to the states in road construction, and may, subject to the rules of the United\nStates Secretary of Agriculture, make plans for and supervise the construction of\nfederal aid roads, and may do all things necessary to fully carry out the cooperation\ncontemplated.\n(2) The department may set apart out of moneys appropriated out of the state road fund\nan amount equal to any sum allotted to the state by the federal government, or any\nsum necessary to carry on cooperative work with the federal government.\n(3) The State Treasurer may receive money due under the provisions of any federal aid\nact, and he shall pay out such money upon warrants of the Finance and\nAdministration Cabinet issued in payment of claims certified by the Department of\nHighways.","path":["KRS Chapter 176"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5194","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:27Z","sha256":"9db0a3bb9990becbdd86459dcb3f298155c306c629dc1d492fb3e37ef5dcf63c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-176.230","next":"us-ky/krs-176.241"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
