{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-176.245","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 176.245","heading":"Scoring system for project evaluation.","body":"(1) To evaluate projects submitted for grants under the LARP, the cabinet shall develop\na scoring system for the project which assigns a score using a one (1) to ten (10)\nscale, with higher numbers assigned to projects exhibiting the greatest need.\n(2) Each highway district shall use the scoring system developed under this section to\nevaluate all projects within the highway district, and shall submit a score to the\ncabinet.\n(3) The scoring system developed under this section shall include an evaluation of the\nfollowing factors:\n(a) Preservation of assets, which shall include an evaluation of the current\nphysical condition of the road, including wear and tear, cracking, missing\npavement and potholes, roadway and shoulder degradation, and rutting;\n(b) Safety;\n(c) Cost;\n(d) Traffic volume; and\n(e) Priority ranking within the highway district.","path":["KRS Chapter 176"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56371","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:27Z","sha256":"dd878a185d5ca87866b089c4654b1089e5fe03006a359b4c52fb6e1033b90ac6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-176.243","next":"us-ky/krs-176.247"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
