{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-176.247","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 176.247","heading":"Local matching funds requirement -- Amounts required.","body":"(1) The cabinet shall use the county population ranking produced every two (2) years\nby the Cabinet for Economic Development to determine the amount of local\nmatching funds required for grants awarded from the LARP.\n(2) The required local match for a project r eceiving funds from the LARP for projects\nawarded in the next regular session of the General Assembly shall be as follows:\n(a) Eligible projects in counties where the county population ranking is equal to\nor greater than one hundred ninety -three (193) shal l provide local matching\nfunds equal to ten percent (10%) of the project cost;\n(b) Eligible projects in counties where the county population ranking is less than\none hundred ninety-three (193) but equal to or greater than one hundred forty -\nfive (145) shall  provide local matching funds equal to twelve and one -half\npercent (12.5%) of the project cost;\n(c) Eligible projects in counties where the county population ranking is less than\none hundred forty -five (145) but equal to or greater than ninety -seven (97)\nshall provide local matching funds equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the\nproject cost;\n(d) Eligible projects in counties where the county population ranking is less than\nninety-seven (97) but equal to or greater than forty -nine (49) shall provide\nlocal matching funds equal to seventeen and one -half percent (17.5%) of the\nproject cost; and\n(e) Eligible projects in counties where the county population ranking is less than\nforty-nine (49) shall provide local matching funds equal to twenty percent\n(20%) of the project cost.\n(3) A city or county may use funds received under KRS 177.320(2) and 177.365 to\nprovide local matching funds for projects in the LARP.","path":["KRS Chapter 176"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56372","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:27Z","sha256":"d339819127ab79422d9d493f3db61a90df7dac6b11e0fa223b1729b880e6fee0","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-176.245","next":"us-ky/krs-176.249"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
