{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-176.415","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 176.415","heading":"Flags to be displayed at rest areas -- Human trafficking hotline telephone","body":"number to be prominently displayed in each rest area restroom.\n(1) The Department of Highways shall display the following flags at each rest area\nalong the Commonwealth's interstate and turnpike system:\n(a) The flag of the United States of America, to honor our country and the\ndemocratic ideals of our forefathers;\n(b) The flag of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as specified by KRS 2.030, to\nhonor the Commonwealth and its citizens; and\n(c) The flag of the National League of Families of American Prisoners of War\nand Missing in Southeast Asia, the black and white banner commonly known\nas the POW/MIA flag, which symbolizes America's missing service members\nand our unwavering determination to account for them.\n(2) The Department of Highways shall post in every restroom located on the premises\nof each rest area in the Commonwealth either:\n(a) A printed sign in English and Spanish at least eight and one -half (8 -1/2)\ninches by eleven (11) inches in size, with letters in at least sixteen (16) point\nfont; or\n(b) A printed transparent static window cling in English and Spanish at least three\n(3) inches by three (3) inches in size, with letters in at least ten (10) point font;\ndisplaying the current telephone hotline number of the National Human Trafficking\nResource Center or any federally funded successor entity.\n(3) The sign or window cling shall be:\n(a) Created using gender -neutral language supplied to the Department of\nHighways by t he Office of the Attorney General, the National Human\nTrafficking Hotline, or the United States Department of Homeland Security's\nBlue Campaign; and\n(b) Posted in a prominent place easily seen by patrons.","path":["KRS Chapter 176"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54882","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:27Z","sha256":"0a5fea24899c774ff25c818f8739a1f29883b57aedfab646f7340b0665ff199e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-176.410","next":"us-ky/krs-176.419"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
