{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-176.5061","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 176.5061","heading":"Motorcycle safety education program -- Standards -- Administrative","body":"regulations.\n(1) The Transportation Cabinet shall establish a motorcycle safety education program.\nThe program shall provide for instructor training courses, instructor approv al, and\nrider training courses for novice riders that shall be held at locations accessible to\nKentucky residents. The program may provide for the following:\n(a) Rider training courses for novice and experienced riders;\n(b) Activities to increase the aware ness of a motorcyclist's knowledge of the\neffects of alcohol and drug use;\n(c) Driver improvement efforts;\n(d) Licensing improvement efforts;\n(e) Program promotion activities;\n(f) Enhancement of the public's awareness of motorcycles; and\n(g) Enhancement of motorcycle safety through education.\n(2) The Transportation Cabinet shall promulgate administrative regulations, pursuant to\nKRS Chapter 13A, governing the development of standards for, and the\nadministration of, a motorcycle safety education program. Sta ndards for the\nmotorcycle rider training courses shall include standards for course content,\ndelivery, curriculum, materials, student evaluation, and the training and approval of\ninstructors.
