{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-176.5064","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 176.5064","heading":"Powers of cabinet.","body":"(1) The cabinet may enter into contracts with public or private entities for course\ndelivery and for the provision of services or materials necessary for implementation\nof the program.\n(2) The cabinet may offer motorcycle rider training courses directly and ma y approve\ncourses offered by independent public or private entities as authorized program\ncourses if they are administered and taught in full compliance with standards\nestablished for the state program.\n(3) The cabinet may establish by administrative regul ation reasonable enrollment fees\nto be charged for persons who participate in motorcycle rider training courses\noffered by the cabinet and for persons who participate in approved courses offered\nby independent public or private entities.\n(4) The cabinet ma y utilize up to ten percent (10%) of available program funds each\nfiscal year to defray its own expenses in offering motorcycle rider training courses\nand may reimburse entities that offer approved courses for the expenses incurred in\noffering the courses to minimize course enrollment fees charged to the students.\n(5) The cabinet shall provide meeting facilities and administrative assistance and\nsupport to the Motorcycle Safety Education Commission and the expenses shall be\npaid from the budget of the cabin et.
