{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-177.070","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 177.070","heading":"Purchase of right-of-way -- Donations.","body":"(1) Except as provided in subsection (2), the department may agree with any landowner\nas to the value of a right -of-way and if the agreement is approved by the county\nattorney the fiscal court shall enter an order directing the payment of the amount\nagreed upon to the landowner, and the agreement shall be entered upon the county\ncourt's records.\n(2) The department may contract with the owners of private surfaced roads necessary to\nbe incorporated in the primary road system, and agree upon the price to be paid,\nsubject to the approval of the county judge/executive and county attorney in each\ncounty where such roads are located. Upon receipt of the certificate of the county\njudge/executive and county attorney showing the transfer and total cost, the Finance\nand Ad ministration Cabinet shall draw its warrant upon the State Treasurer for\npayment of the amount certified.
