{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-177.0738","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 177.0738","heading":"Logo signs for eligible businesses.","body":"(1) Any camping facility that has been authorized by the commissioner of the\nDepartment of Highways to attach its logo sign to the face of a specific service sign\nerected on a fully controlled access highway, pursuant to the Federal Highway\nAdministration's Ma nual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, may make\napplication to the commissioner of the Department of Highways to have its logo\nsign attached to the face of a specific service sign erected on any road as defined in\nKRS 177.010.\n(2) The commissioner of the  Department of Highways shall promulgate administrative\nregulations, pursuant to KRS Chapter 13A, to provide for the erection of specific\nservice signs on roads, as defined in KRS 177.010. The specific service signs as\nherein required to be erected shall i nclude, but not be limited to, the display of logo\nsigns that provide identification of and directional information to camping facilities.\nThe administrative regulations shall conform with the Federal Highway\nAdministration's Manual on Uniform Traffic Cont rol Devices (MUTCD) and shall\ninclude, but not be limited to, criteria for the following:\n(a) Selection of eligible businesses;\n(b) Distances to eligible businesses;\n(c) Acceptance of logo signs that conform to the MUTCD;\n(d) Removing or covering logo sign s during off -seasons for eligible businesses\noperated on a seasonal basis;\n(e) Defining the circumstances in which specific service signs are erected; and\n(f) Determining the costs to eligible businesses for initial installation, annual\nmaintenance, and removal of logo signs.","path":["KRS Chapter 177"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5258","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:28Z","sha256":"e76d97317dc46824d2aedf39d66ccdd263f8f116b29bb6601befcc19f67fad9a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-177.0736","next":"us-ky/krs-177.0739"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
