{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-177.109","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 177.109","heading":"Duties and responsibilities.","body":"The  Transportation and Tourism Interagency Committee shall have but not be\nlimited to the following duties and responsibilities:\n(1) Review  Kentucky's signage laws, administrative regulations, and  policies\nimplementing the federal \"Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices\" and\nsubmit any proposed revisions to the secretary of the Transportation Cabinet;\n(2) Seek  public comment  on Kentucky's signage laws, administrative regulations,\nand policies;\n(3) Advise  the Transportation Cabinet on the scenic byways  and  highways\nprogram;\n(4) Review  and make  recommendations on requests for highway signage from\ntourism-related entities;\n(5) Coordinate development of the tourism information potential of welcome\ncenters and rest areas through such means as interactive videos, information\nkiosks, and highway advisory radio transmitters, as well as other innovative\nmethods which may be identified by the committee;\n(6) Monitor developments across the United States relating to billboards and\nofficial signs;\n(7) Report to the secretary of the Transportation Cabinet and to the secretary of\nthe Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet on issues of mutual interest to the\ncabinets;\n(8) Serve as an advisory committee on issues identified by the secretary of the\nTransportation Cabinet and  secretary of the Tourism, Arts and  Heritage\nCabinet; and\n(9) Report committee recommendations to the secretary of the Transportation\nCabinet, the secretary of the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet, the secretary\nof the Education and Labor Cabinet, and the secretary of the Executive\nCabinet.","path":["KRS Chapter 177"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52401","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:28Z","sha256":"99350c9d3542a330fd12236722d011eccbee9555aa62fcd04ae92e210ba4390c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-177.108","next":"us-ky/krs-177.110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
