{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-177.320","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 177.320","heading":"Use of portion of gasoline and special fuel tax revenues for secondary and","body":"rural roads, county roads and bridges and the Kentucky Transportation\nCenter -- Allocation of funds.\n(1) Twenty-two and two-tenths percent (22.2%) of all funds arising from the imposition\nof taxes provided by KRS 138.220(1) and (2), 138.660(1) and (2) and 234.320 shall\nbe set aside for the construction, reconstruction and maintenance of secondary and\nrural roads and for no other purpose, and shall be expended for said purpo ses by the\nTransportation Cabinet of the Commonwealth of Kentucky according to the terms\nand conditions prescribed in KRS 177.330 to 177.360.\n(2) On or after July 1, 1980, eighteen and three -tenths percent (18.3%) of all funds\narising from the imposition o f taxes provided by KRS 138.220(1) and (2),\n138.660(1) and (2), and 234.320 shall be set aside for the construction,\nreconstruction and maintenance of county roads and bridges provided by KRS\n179.410 and 179.415.\n(3) All funds set aside in subsection (2) o f this section for the construction,\nreconstruction and maintenance of county roads and bridges shall be allocated to\nthe county in accordance with the formula established in KRS 177.360(1) pursuant\nto KRS 179.410.\n(4) On or after July 1, 1986, one -tenth of one percent (0.1%) of all funds arising from\nthe imposition of taxes provided by KRS 138.220(1) and (2), 138.660 and 234.320\nshall be set aside for the purposes and functions of the Kentucky Transportation\nCenter as established by KRS 177.375 to 177.380,  except that the receipts provided\nto the center by this subsection shall not exceed one hundred ninety thousand\ndollars ($190,000) for any fiscal year.","path":["KRS Chapter 177"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5308","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:29Z","sha256":"93b44361a52b0fb26f3d68383daff186d5503ead3e13dc16cf2447d18516397b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-177.317","next":"us-ky/krs-177.330"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
