{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-177.550","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 177.550","heading":"Transfer of turnpike to highway system after retirement of bonds.","body":"Except as hereinafter provided in this section, when all bonds issued under KRS 177.390\nto 177.570 in connection with any turnpike project or projects and the interest thereon\nshall have been paid or a sufficient amount for the payment of all such bonds an d the\ninterest thereon to the maturity thereof shall have been set aside in trust for the benefit of\nthe bondholders, such project or projects, if then in good condition and repair, shall\nbecome part of the state highway system and shall thereafter be main tained by the\ndepartment free of tolls; provided, however, the department may, in any proceedings or\ntrust agreement authorizing or securing bonds under the provisions of KRS 177.390 to\n177.570, provide for combining for financing purposes any two (2) or m ore turnpike\nprojects theretofore constructed or thereafter to be constructed, and for the reimposition\nor continuance of tolls on each such turnpike project until all such bonds and the interest\nthereon shall have been paid or a sufficient amount for such  purposes shall have been set\naside in trust for the benefit of the bondholders.","path":["KRS Chapter 177"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5341","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:29Z","sha256":"9dc68a839b6bc32bc11cbeb07ef61bb23aa099e3b884c08623c53acc8441d71c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-177.540","next":"us-ky/krs-177.560"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
