{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-177.560","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 177.560","heading":"Preliminary expenses of turnpike project.","body":"The department is hereby authorized in its discretion to expend such moneys as may be\nnecessary for the study of any turnpike project or projects and to use its engineering and\nother forces and employ consulting engineers and traffic engineers for the purp ose of\neffecting such study, and to pay for such additional engineering and traffic and other\nexpert studies as it may deem expedient. All such expenses incurred by the department\nprior to the issuance of turnpike revenue bonds under the provisions of KRS 177.390 to\n177.570 shall be paid by the department and charged to the appropriate turnpike project\nor projects, and the department shall keep proper records and accounts showing each\namount so charged. Upon the sale of turnpike revenue bonds for any turnpi ke project or\nprojects, the funds so expended by the department in connection with such project or\nprojects may be reimbursed to the department from the proceeds of such bonds if\nprovision to that effect is made in the proceedings or trust agreement under which such\nbonds are issued.","path":["KRS Chapter 177"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5342","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:29Z","sha256":"98d0d445f4a6d66b1409b782136580939f0f0fb27f8a741f2e31a19818978b3b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-177.550","next":"us-ky/krs-177.570"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
