{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-177.810","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 177.810","heading":"Bonds exempt from taxation -- Designation of signing officers --","body":"Temporary bonds or certificates -- No other approvals required.\nThe bonds and receipt of interest thereon shall be exempt from all taxation by the\nCommonwealth and its political subdivis ions, municipalities, and taxing districts. The\nbonds shall be signed in the name of the Commonwealth by the facsimile signatures of\nthe Governor and Treasurer of the Commonwealth, and the great seal of the\nCommonwealth or a facsimile thereof shall be affi xed thereto and attested by the\nvalidating manual signature of the Secretary of State, and the interest coupons, if any,\nshall be executed by the facsimile signature of the Treasurer. In case any officer whose\nsignature or facsimile thereof shall appear on any bonds or coupons shall cease to be such\nofficer before delivery of the bonds, such signature or facsimile thereof shall,\nnevertheless, be valid and sufficient for all purposes, the same as if he had remained in\noffice until delivery. All bonds issued under KRS 177.700 to 177.820 shall have and are\nhereby declared to have all the incidents of negotiable instruments. Prior to the\npreparation of definitive bonds, the commission may issue temporary bonds or\ncertificates, exchangeable for definitive bonds w hen the same shall have been executed\nand are ready for delivery; and provision may also be made for the replacement of any\nbonds which shall become mutilated, or be destroyed or lost. Bonds may be issued under\nthe provisions of KRS 177.700 to 177.820 with out obtaining the consent of any\ndepartment, division, commission, board, bureau, or agency of the Commonwealth and\nwithout any other proceedings or the happening of any conditions, events or things other\nthan the proceedings, conditions, events, and thing s which are specifically required by\nKRS 177.700 to 177.820.","path":["KRS Chapter 177"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5372","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:29Z","sha256":"ac7b6e5450b0c9d2abbff0a8d05ac7fc31e6737f1f4eea8072d0e3f6c556f443","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-177.800","next":"us-ky/krs-177.820"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
