{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-177.977","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 177.977","heading":"Directory of coal road system.","body":"(1) The Transportation Cabinet shall publish a directory, including supporting maps\nand other documents, designating the official coal road system in coal impact and\ncoal producing counties which shall include all public highways, roads, bridges, and\nstreets over which quantities of coal sufficient to significantly affect the condition\nand state of repair of such highways, roads, bridges, and streets have been\ntransported in the immediately preceding year. The cabinet shall further publish the\ntotal county mile age of the official coal road system and the total ton -miles within\neach coal impact and coal producing county for said preceding year.\n(2) Every person, producer or processor shipping or transporting coal over the public\nhighways, roads, bridges, and stre ets, shall file with the Transportation Cabinet\ninformation at intervals as the cabinet shall designate by administrative regulation\npromulgated pursuant to KRS Chapter 13A, for the purpose of identifying those\nhighways, roads, and streets comprising the c oal road system and the quantities of\ncoal transported thereon, in order that the cabinet can accurately calculate total ton -\nmiles within each coal impact and coal producing county. A copy of the information\nfurnished to the Energy and Environment Cabinet pursuant to the provisions of\nKRS 350.0285 and a copy of the information furnished to the Department for\nNatural Resources pursuant to the provisions of KRS 351.070 and 352.420 shall be\nsubmitted to the Transportation Cabinet to satisfy the reporting requi rements of this\nsubsection and the transportation plan shall be annually updated to reflect in route\nchanges.","path":["KRS Chapter 177"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5407","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:30Z","sha256":"a742fec00f102b5bb31928b19d9f21256d70e38a48e888b33ebe541e4ece7853","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-177.976","next":"us-ky/krs-177.9771"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
