{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-178.180","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 178.180","heading":"Commissioners may be appointed to handle proceeds of bonds.","body":"(1) The fiscal court of any county may select or appoint four (4) or more commissioners\nwho are freeholders and legal voters and residents of the county, to act as a road\ncommission in the handling of any funds derived from the sale of bonds authorized\nand vot ed by the county for the purpose of constructing and reconstructing roads\nand bridges. The commissioners shall be equally divided between the two (2)\ndominant political parties of the county.\n(2) The commissioners shall each give a bond, approved by the county judge/executive.\nThe commissioners shall be allowed a reasonable compensation for their services by\nthe fiscal court, to be paid out of the county road fund.\n(3) The commissioners shall be selected at least fifteen (15) days before the date of the\nelection on the question of the bond issue, and their names shall be published\npursuant to KRS Chapter 424.","path":["KRS Chapter 178"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5439","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:30Z","sha256":"a23fc5509a519184d9b86fa15ba0af6ce2984ca959e175afd2cc7bdd22a4e391","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-178.170","next":"us-ky/krs-178.190"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
