{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-179.400","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 179.400","heading":"Counties receiving state aid -- Fiscal court to appropriate money for road","body":"purposes -- Contract or cooperative agreement with department for\nconstruction, reconstruction, and maintenance of county roads and bridges.\n(1) The fiscal court of any county receiving state aid shall appropriate sufficient money\nto keep all county roads in the county in good repair and free from obstructions. The\ncost of all repairs and removals of obstruction shall be paid by the treasurer of the\ncounty upon the order of the fiscal court, and all bills for repairs or for removal of\nobstructions shall be verified by affidavit, and shall be certified to be correct by the\ncounty engineer.\n(2) The fiscal court of any county receiving state aid may, if it deems proper, enter into\ncontract or cooperative agreement with the Department of Rural and Municipal Aid\nfor the construction, reconstruction, and maintenance of county roads and bridges\nselected by the fiscal court. Any contract or cooperative agreement shall designate\nthose road s which the department shall be required to construct, reconstruct, or\nmaintain and shall not be in excess of the projected county allotment for any one (1)\nfiscal year.
