{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-180.130","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 180.130","heading":"Maintenance and operation of bridges -- Cost of bridge may be paid from","body":"bridge tolls or appropriations.\n(1) The cost of maintenance and operation of all bridges purchased, built, repaired,\nenlarged, or reconstructed, in whole or in part, from the bond s issued under KRS\n180.070 shall be paid from appropriations made to the department; provided,\nhowever, that while any such bonds are outstanding the department may be\nreimbursed for such cost out of the bridge tolls and revenues, if and to the extent\npermitted by the trust indenture for such bonds, and otherwise may be so\nreimbursed by the continuation of tolls for traffic over the pertinent bridge or\nbridges after the bonds are retired, but no longer than necessary to pay such costs as\nmay have been borne by the department during the life of the bonds.\n(2) The department may pay from its appropriations any part of the cost of any bridges\nfor which the bonds are issued.","path":["KRS Chapter 180"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5547","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:31Z","sha256":"b4283315b9dabab58e55230a78098c8ec648465172ca1947828ac448ac9f4b30","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-180.120","next":"us-ky/krs-180.140"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
