{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-180.270","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 180.270","heading":"Condemnation of competing ferries.","body":"If the department is unable to contract with the owner of the competing ferry for the\npurchase of the ferry, the department may institute condemnation proceedings in the\ncounty where the ferry is located, for the purpose of acquiring the ferry. The\ncondemnation proceedings shall be in the name of the state, under the procedure set out in\nthe Eminent Domain Act of Kentucky. In the proceedings the department shall be\nrepresented by the Attorney General and by the county attorney of the county in which the\nproceedings are filed.
