{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-181.570","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 181.570","heading":"Bridge commission.","body":"(1) Any city may, by ordinance, create a bridge commission consisting of the chief\nexecutive of the city and four (4) persons appointed by such chief executive with the\napproval of the city legislative body. Each appointee shall be at least twenty -five\n(25) years of age.\n(2) The original appointments shall be made for terms of four (4) years, and their\nsuccessors shall be appointed for one (1), two (2), three (3), and four (4) years\nrespectively. Thereafter the appointments shall be for four -year terms. Not mor e\nthan two (2) appointees shall be members of the same political party, and all\nmembers shall be eligible for reappointment. Vacancies shall be filled for the\nunexpired term in the same manner as original appointments.\n(3) No officer or employee of the cit y, whether he receives compensation or not, shall\nbe appointed to the commission.\n(4) Each appointee shall take, subscribe and file the constitutional oath of office, and\nshall execute a bond, approved by the city legislative body, in the sum of five\nthousand dollars ($5000).
