{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-181.610","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 181.610","heading":"Purchase of bridges.","body":"(1) The commission may purchase any toll bridge over a navigable stream so as to\nconnect the city with an adjoining state, or any such toll bridge wholly or partly\nconstructed, or any franchises, easements, permits or contracts for the construction\nof such bridges, upon terms and at prices considered by the bridge commission to be\nreasonable and that can be agreed upon between the commission and the owner.\n(2) Title shall be taken in the name of the city, subject to such mortgage or other lien as\nthe seller reserves under the provisions of KRS 181.750.\n(3) Upon the execution of any contract for the purchase of an existing bridge the seller\nshall be relieved from any obligation or duty theretofore imposed upon the owner by\ncharter, legislative enactment, or otherwise to maintain and keep the bridge open to\nthe public.","path":["KRS Chapter 181"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5635","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:32Z","sha256":"709b48f75b8995e6b061139f1fcc0dbd622228da64e8ad2faeda1ac47ab43915","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-181.600","next":"us-ky/krs-181.620"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
