{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-183.090","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 183.090","heading":"Inspection of general aviation airport facilities -- Certificate of approval --","body":"Revocation.\n(1) The cabinet shall cause all general aviation airport facilities in the state to be\ninspected to determine the safety and adequacy of such facilities . No person shall\noperate any aircraft from a general aviation airport declared unfit by the cabinet.\n(2) In determining whether it shall issue a certificate of approval for the use or\noperation of a general aviation airport, the cabinet shall take into co nsideration its\nlocation, size, layout, safety of operations, the relationship of the airport to a\ncomprehensive plan for statewide and nationwide development, whether the\nadjoining area is free from obstructions based on a proper glide ratio, the nature o f\nthe terrain, the nature of the uses to which the airport will be put, and the\npossibilities for future development.\n(3) The cabinet is empowered to temporarily or permanently revoke any certificate of\napproval issued by it when it shall determine that a general aviation airport is not\nbeing maintained or used in accordance with the provisions of this chapter and the\nadministrative regulations promulgated in accordance with it.","path":["KRS Chapter 183"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=48956","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:34Z","sha256":"3691d633c590672f44894510cc855fcb8d19ad57574d2201db5cb55263cc0e76","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-183.086","next":"us-ky/krs-183.100"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
