{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-183.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 183.110","heading":"Police powers of secretary, officers and employees.","body":"(1) The secretary and officers and employees of the cabinet designated by order of the\nsecretary shall be peace officers and may arrest any person found violating any\nprovision of this chapter or any civil air regulation promulgated by the Federal\nAviation Administration.\n(2) The secretary, in his discretion, may commission any official or employee of an\nairport board or governmental unit not authorized by KRS 183.880 to establish a\nsafety and security department as peace officers and such persons so commission ed\nshall have all of the powers of peace officers in respect to the enforcement of this\nchapter or any civil air regulation promulgated by the Federal Aviation\nAdministration and rules and regulations promulgated by airport boards or\ngovernmental units.","path":["KRS Chapter 183"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5728","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:34Z","sha256":"6a1a038f75df5dc6329ba207bd7f31a0a503129ae4966b3ea5d1e31b9ecd8484","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-183.100","next":"us-ky/krs-183.120"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
