{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-183.137","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 183.137","heading":"Contracts for use of airport -- Expenditures for airport.","body":"(1) The board may contract with any person or governmental agency for the use of the\nairport. Such contract shall not prevent, restrict or hamper the general use of the\nairport by the public.\n(2) All unpledged or surplus revenue derived from use of the airport  shall be first\napplied to the maintenance of the airport. A governmental unit may expend funds\nfor this purpose out of its general funds or any other available funds.\n(3) Any airport board is excused, under any contract or lease, from accepting\nperformance from or rendering performance to an entity other than the entity with\nwhich it originally entered into the contract or lease, unless the airport board has\nspecifically consented to the assignment and assumption of the contract or lease to\nthe new party f ollowing review of such factors as the airport board deems\nappropriate, including the impact of the assignment upon airport safety and security.","path":["KRS Chapter 183"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5740","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:34Z","sha256":"d96065a34c30be8be18192e5b0916b1b6c32a0a4e6874d430afb0913079937c1","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-183.136","next":"us-ky/krs-183.138"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
