{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-183.868","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 183.868","heading":"Factors to be considered in zoning.","body":"In addition to considering the regulations or standards promulgated by the Federal\nAviation Administration in zoning the use of land and structures in areas over which\njurisdiction is assumed, the commission shall consider among other things the safety of\nairport users and surface persons and property, the character of flying operations\nconducted at the airport, the nature of the terrain, the height of existing structures and\ntrees above the level of the airport, the views of officials of the Federal Aviati on\nAdministration as to the safe approaches required for operations at the airport, the future\ndevelopment of the airport including extensions to runways that may be required, the\ndensity of dwellings that may safely be permitted in the area, protection of  the public\ninvestment in the airport and its facilities, the interest of the public in developing a sound\npublic air transportation system within the state and the views and opinions of those\nowning land in such area.","path":["KRS Chapter 183"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=5865","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:35Z","sha256":"eb2084a5432a75ed5685ab80659a469b69a1ed7321efae5bd34f808112a0aaa6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-183.867","next":"us-ky/krs-183.869"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
