{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-184.387","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 184.387","heading":"Legislative findings.","body":"It is hereby found and determined that surface transportation projects undertaken pursuant\nto KRS 184.350 to 184.395 are essential and will contribute to the improvement of the\nprosperity, health, safety, and welfare of the people of a transportation impro vement\ndistrict and to all of the state, and that it is in the public interest and a proper public\npurpose for a transportation improvement district to acquire, construct, enlarge, improve,\nequip, sell, lease, lease -purchase, exchange, or otherwise dispose  of property, structures,\nand other facilities for such transportation projects. It is further found and determined that\nthe exercise of the authority granted by KRS 184.350 to 184.395 is consistent with and\nwill promote industry, commerce, distribution, a nd research activity in the state.
