{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-186.4124","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 186.4124","heading":"Definitions for section -- Administrative regulations -- Third-party","body":"application processors for identity documents -- Eligibility -- Fees.\n(1) As used in this section:\n(a) \"Identity document\" means an operator's license or personal identific ation\ncard issued under KRS 186.4102, 186.412, 186.4121, 186.4122, or 186.4123;\nand\n(b) \"Third-party entity\":\n1. Means a person or entity, including but not limited to a business entity\nor nonprofit member association, that has received approval from the\ncabinet to process identity documents in accordance with this section;\nand\n2. Does not include any governmental entity other than the cabinet.\n(2) The Transportation Cabinet shall promulgate administrative regulations in\naccordance with KRS Chapter 13A to e stablish procedures by which third -party\nentities may apply to the cabinet to serve as application processors for identity\ndocuments.\n(3) A third -party entity that wishes to serve as an application processor for identity\ndocuments under this section shall:\n(a) Apply to the cabinet and receive cabinet approval;\n(b) Agree to comply with all relevant administrative regulations and policies of\nthe cabinet; and\n(c) Collect all fees required under KRS 186.531 and transmit them to the cabinet\nin a timely fashion.\n(4) In addition to the fees set forth in KRS 186.531, a third -party entity that processes\napplications for identity documents under this section may charge a fee for the\nservice provided.","path":["KRS Chapter 186"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56232","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:38Z","sha256":"041507fe845b6024d55ba78101274847c93e823e055a1a3834a5f523e1f5960c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-186.4123","next":"us-ky/krs-186.4125"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
