{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-186.635","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 186.635","heading":"Persons required to complete examinations under KRS  186.480 --","body":"Reinstatement.\n(1) The  following persons shall be  required to successfully complete the\nexaminations required under KRS  186.480 prior to being issued a Kentucky\noperator's license:\n(a) A  person who  has  been  issued a  Kentucky instruction permit or\nintermediate license;\n(b) A person who has applied for a Kentucky operator's license under KRS\n186.412 or 186.4121; and\n(c) Other persons as identified in an administrative regulation promulgated\nby the Department of Kentucky State Police or the Transportation Cabinet\nunder KRS Chapter 13A.\n(2) A person who possessed a Kentucky operator's license that has expired for a\nperiod of less than five (5) years and  was  not subject to suspension,\nwithdrawal, revocation, or disqualification at the time of expiration may have\nthat license reinstated without submitting to the examinations required under\nKRS  186.480 by applying to the cabinet for renewal.
