{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-186a.073","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 186A.073","heading":"Titling of military surplus vehicle.","body":"(1) As used in this section, \"military surplus vehicle\" has the same meaning as in\nKRS  186.010.\n(2) A  person who  has purchased a military surplus vehicle shall be issued a\ncertificate of title after complying with the provisions of this section.\n(3) An  owner  of a  military surplus vehicle that does  not have  a  vehicle\nidentification number shall, prior to applying for a certificate of title, apply to the\nTransportation Cabinet for a  vehicle identification number  under  KRS\n186A.090.\n(4) When  applying for a certificate of title for a military surplus vehicle, the owner\nshall apply in the office of the county clerk of the county in which he or she\nresides and provide the clerk with the following:\n(a) Proof of insurance to comply with KRS 304.39-080;\n(b) Proof that the military surplus vehicle has passed an inspection in\naccordance with KRS 186A.115; and\n(c) Any other information that may be required by the Transportation Cabinet\nin an administrative regulation promulgated under KRS Chapter 13A.\n(5) The  Transportation Cabinet shall promulgate administrative regulations\npursuant to KRS Chapter 13A to implement this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 186A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45884","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:39Z","sha256":"553c143f5fee1d68bfeae171589238b19b5287b4c20c2483985443e51c4bde36","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-186a.072","next":"us-ky/krs-186a.074"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
