{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-186a.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 186A.110","heading":"Restrictions on issuance of temporary registration -- Liability for","body":"improper issuance of temporary registration.\n(1) A motor vehicle dealer, salesperson, or agent shall not:\n(a) Issue a temporary tag prior to sale of the vehicle on which the  tag is placed by\nthe dealer;\n(b) Issue a temporary tag to a vehicle that has any title that signifies it is not\nlegally eligible for highway use;\n(c) Issue more than one (1) temporary tag to the same vehicle;\n(d) Supply temporary tags to another dealership;\n(e) Copy or reuse any temporary tag for issuance to more than one (1) vehicle;\n(f) Fail to return any unissued temporary tags to the county clerk when a\ndealership ceases operations; or\n(g) Fail to comply with the issuance requirements and recordkeeping  provisions\nof KRS 186A.105.\n(2) Both the dealer and the dealer's salesperson or agent shall be liable for separate\npenalties for any violation of this section or KRS 186A.100 or 186A.105.","path":["KRS Chapter 186A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56226","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:39Z","sha256":"37edef7c30745ff70a298d8110adbca3803c015c9a43acd84ba2011202b1a521","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-186a.105","next":"us-ky/krs-186a.115"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
