{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-186a.290","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 186A.290","heading":"County clerk may omit sending duplicate copies of title.","body":"(1) Regardless of other provisions of the statutes, the county clerk may omit sending\nduplicates of each certificate of title and registration, or certificate of registration he\nissues, to the Transportation Cabinet and Department of Revenue, and the property\nvaluation administrator, and may omit the production and filing of one of the copies\nformerly known as either county clerk's alpha or his numeric copy, when it is\ndetermined by the agencies indicated that their need for \"duplicates\" of each\ncertificate or \"receipt\" is obviated by the automated system.\n(2) The Department of Vehicle Regulation and the Department of Revenue shall, as\nagreed between them, provide appropriate system support or computerized listings\non magnetic tape or disc, printouts, or system access, to fulfill the information needs\nformerly requiring duplicates of each certificate or receipt.","path":["KRS Chapter 186A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=6194","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:40Z","sha256":"432da72adf4ff0a6232004aa8f3bcf02769aeae2675a5054c0b316c2937a6aaa","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-186a.287","next":"us-ky/krs-186a.295"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
