{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-186a.535","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 186A.535","heading":"Title for classic motor vehicle project -- Administrative regulations.","body":"(1) The owner of a motor vehicle that meets the definition of a classic motor vehicle\nproject may apply for a classic motor vehicle project certificate of title, which shall:\n(a) Bear on the face of the title the words \"CLASSIC MOTOR VEHICLE\nPROJECT--NOT FOR ROAD USE\"; and\n(b) Not bear the designation of \"salvage,\" \"junk,\" \"rebuilt,\" or any other similar\nbrand.\n(2) The owner of a motor vehicle that meets the definition of a classic motor vehicle\nproject as set forth in KRS 186A.510, has been issued a classic m otor vehicle\nproject certificate of title under subsection (1) of this section, and has been restored\nto roadworthy condition may make application for a new certificate of title pursuant\nto KRS 186A.115. The Transportation Cabinet may promulgate administra tive\nregulations pursuant to KRS Chapter 13A governing the form of application.\n(3) Upon receipt of a classic motor vehicle project certificate of title issued pursuant to\nsubsection (1) of this section and proof of passing the inspection required by KRS\n186A.115, the cabinet shall issue a new regular certificate of title with no special\nbrand printed on the face of the title.\n(4) The only time a vehicle with a classic motor vehicle project certificate of title may\nbe operated upon the highways of the Commo nwealth is when it is en route to or\nfrom an inspection by the certified inspector prior to obtaining a certificate of title\nafter having been restored in accordance with KRS 186A.115.\n(5) The Transportation Cabinet shall promulgate administrative regulati ons pursuant to\nKRS Chapter 13A, regarding the administration of the classic motor vehicle project\ncertificate of title procedures. The administrative regulations shall include the\nmanner in which classic motor vehicle project titles are differentiated fro m salvage\ntitles and rebuilt brands.
