{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-189.120","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 189.120","heading":"Safety glass required in motor vehicles.","body":"(1) No person shall sell any new motor vehicle in this state nor shall any new motor\nvehicle be registered in this state unless the vehicle is equipped with safety glass\nwherever glass is used in the windshield, doors or windows.\n(2) As used in this section, \" safety glass\" means any product composed of glass, so\nmanufactured, fabricated, or treated as substantially to prevent shattering and flying\nof the glass when struck or broken, or such other or similar product as may be\napproved by the Department of Vehicle Regulation.\n(3) The Department of Vehicle Regulation shall compile and publish a list of types of\nglass by name approved by the department as meeting the requirements of this\nsection, and shall cause a copy of the list to be furnished to each county cler k. No\nmotor vehicle which is subject to the provisions of this section shall be registered\nunless it is equipped with an approved type of safety glass as required by this\nsection, and the Department of Vehicle Regulation may prescribe and enforce such\nregulations as are necessary to effectuate this section.
