{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-189.2718","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 189.2718","heading":"Administrative regulations regarding issuance of annual certificates for","body":"transporting feed for livestock or poultry to a farm or other facility housing\nlivestock or poultry.\n(1) The department may promulgate administrative regulations pursuant  to KRS\nChapter 13A governing the issuance of annual certificates for the operation of\nmotor vehicles exclusively engaged in transporting feed for livestock or poultry to a\nfarm or other facility housing livestock or poultry.\n(2) A motor carrier exclusivel y engaged in transporting feed for livestock or poultry in\ndivisible or nondivisible loads may apply for an annual certificate pursuant to\nsubsection (1) of this section. A certificate issued under this section shall be:\n(a) Specific to a single truck;\n(b) Valid twenty-four (24) hours a day; and\n(c) Kept in the vehicle during all times of operation.\n(3) The cost of an annual certificate issued under this section shall be one hundred fifty\ndollars ($150), paid to the cabinet.\n(4) Administrative regulations p romulgated by the department under this section may\nrequire motor carriers to meet specific Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration\n(FMCSA) safety ratings and FMCSA safety measurement system scores before\nissuance of a certificate under this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 189"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=48225","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:42Z","sha256":"4e37291fc30f00fda3cccde297ddf12ba8ee75ba03acc7850bc212cabfd9df7c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-189.2717","next":"us-ky/krs-189.272"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
