Payment of the fine and court\ncosts to the clerk shall be considered as a plea of guilty for all purposes.\n(4) If the offense charged shows a speed in excess of the speeds shown on the specific\nfine schedule the defendant shall appear for trial and may not pay the fine to the\nclerk before the trial date.\n(5) If the offense occurred in an area n ear a school where flasher lights have been\ninstalled and are flashing, and a speed limit has been set pursuant to KRS 189.336,\nthe fine established by subsection (1) or (2) of this section shall be doubled.","path":["KRS Chapter 189"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=48666","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:43Z","sha256":"5ae47ea182b4667884273db1d189e5a9e69a96d8ca1ccc8ce3f941f278911904","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-189.393","next":"us-ky/krs-189.395"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
