{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-18a.015","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 18A.015","heading":"Creation of Personnel Cabinet -- Provision for administrative costs.","body":"(1) There shall be created by KRS 18A.005 to 18A.200 a Personnel Cabinet headed by\na secretary who shall be appointed by the Governor.\n(2) Appropriations shall be made from the general expenditure fund to the cabinet to\nmeet the estimated pro rata share of the cost of administering the provisions of this\nchapter for departments, commissions, boards, or agencies which receive their sole\nsupport from the general expenditure fund.\n(3) The secretary shall maintain accurate records reflecting the cost of administering\nthe provisions of this chapter. At the close of each quarter year period he shall\nsummarize the cost and shall bill each department, commission, board, or agency\nwhich re ceives support from sources other than the general expenditure fund,\nexcept the Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, for a pro rata share of the\nadministrative cost based on the relationship between the quarterly average number\nof employees in the se rvice of such department, commission, board, or agency and\nthe quarterly average number of employees in the service of all the departments,\ncommissions, boards, and agencies for the appropriate calendar quarter.\n(4) All departments, commissions, boards, or  agencies which receive support from\nother than the general expenditure fund, except the Department of Fish and Wildlife\nResources, shall include in their budgets sufficient amounts to meet their pro rata\nshares of the cost of administering KRS 18A.005 to 18A.200 and shall remit such\nshares quarterly to the department in the manner provided by law.\n(5) The cabinet is authorized and directed to accept on behalf of the state any grant or\ncontribution, federal or otherwise, made to assist in meeting the cost o f carrying out\nthe purposes of KRS 18A.005 to 18A.200.","path":["KRS Chapter 18A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1339","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:39Z","sha256":"93a6c28228b7b111132426ca4a90315585f205508b0455c6bb7e5c068708d87e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-18a.010","next":"us-ky/krs-18a.020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
