{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-18a.045","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 18A.045","heading":"Creation of Personnel Board -- Membership -- Prohibited Acts.","body":"(1) There is hereby created a Personnel Board in which shall be vested the\nconstitutional powers and responsibilities of officers of the Commonwealth. The\nboard shall consist of seven (7) members, five (5) of whom shall be appointed by\nthe Governor as provided in KRS 18A.050. Two (2) members of the board shall be\nelected by classified employees as provided in KRS 18A.0551.\n(2) Personnel Board members shall not accept gifts as provided i n KRS 11A.045(1),\nbenefit under any contract or agreement as provided in KRS 11A.040(4), or fail to\ndisclose to other members of the board any direct or indirect conflict of interest as\ndescribed in KRS 11A.005(2)(c).\n(3) Any person retaliating in any mann er and any person ordering retaliation against a\nclassified employee or a member of his family because he has participated in an\nelection to the board, either by being a candidate or voting for a candidate, shall be\nsubject to the provisions of KRS 18A.990.","path":["KRS Chapter 18A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1348","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:39Z","sha256":"8a0f30bb0992e41de85f26fb5bbeaec5b46b256835ffb8c747bb90424817e94d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-18a.043","next":"us-ky/krs-18a.050"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
