{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-18a.090","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 18A.090","heading":"Personnel Board to hire full -time staff -- General counsel may be","body":"designated assistant attorney general.\n(1) As provided by the budget enacted by the General Assembly and other laws\napplicable to state personnel, the board shall appoint an execut ive director who\nshall be the chief administrative officer of the board and serve as secretary to the\nboard. He shall have proven administrative and managerial experience and\nfamiliarity with equal employment opportunity laws and regulations. The board\nshall appoint other employees it deems necessary in accordance with the provisions\nof this chapter. The salaries of the executive director and other employees of the\nboard shall be determined by order of the board. The executive director of the board\nshall prepare the budget request for approval by the board in the form and manner\nrequired by applicable law. For the purposes of KRS Chapter 48 the board shall be\nconsidered a budget unit.\n(2) The board shall appoint a general counsel pursuant to KRS 12.210 to pr ovide legal\nservices for the board. Upon request of the board, the Attorney General may\ndesignate the general counsel as an assistant attorney general. The general counsel\nprovided for by this subsection shall not be employed by personal service contract\nand shall be a full -time employee of the board.
