{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-18a.130","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 18A.130","heading":"Reemployment of career employee terminated on or after January 1,","body":"1980.\n(1) A career employee whose employment is terminated on or after January 1, 1980, by\nlay-off, dismissal, other than for cause, and, in the case of an unclassified\nmanagement employee, resignation other than resignation in lieu of dismissal for\ncause, shall, upon his written request, be reemployed or placed on reemployment\nlists in accordance with this section and KRS 18A.135.\n(2) If the career employee has previously attained status in a position in the classified\nservice, he shall revert to a position in that class in the agency from which he was\nterminated if a vacancy in that class exists. If no such vacancy exists, he shall be\nconsidered for employment in any vacant positio n for which he is qualified\npursuant to the reemployment procedures.\n(3) If the career employee has not previously attained status in the classified service or\nif he has attained status but no vacancy exists in a position to which subsection (2)\nof this section applies, the employee shall be placed on reemployment lists for any\npositions for which he is qualified.","path":["KRS Chapter 18A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1372","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:39Z","sha256":"22e4da99f0f07afedae5d621973a378cab33b8fb331a961bf290f60f9de2af37","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-18a.125","next":"us-ky/krs-18a.135"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
