{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-18a.180","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 18A.180","heading":"Extension of system to other governmental units.","body":"(1) Subject to the approval of the board, the secretary may enter into agreements with\nany municipality or other political subdivision of the Commonwealth to furnish\nservices and facilities of the cabinet to the municipality or political subdivision in\nthe adm inistration of its personnel on merit principles. Any such agreement shall\nprovide for the reimbursement to the cabinet, under contract, of the reasonable cost\nof the services and facilities furnished, as determined by the secretary. All\nmunicipalities and  political subdivisions of the Commonwealth are hereby\nauthorized to enter into these agreements.\n(2) The secretary may cooperate with the governmental agencies of other jurisdictions\ncharged with personnel administration in conducting joint tests and esta blishing\njoint lists from which eligibles shall be certified for appointment in accordance with\nthe provisions of KRS 18A.005 to 18A.200.\n(3) The secretary may, upon the request of the secretary of the Cabinet for Health and\nFamily Services and upon the ap proval of the board, furnish merit system services\nto \"local\" departments of health.","path":["KRS Chapter 18A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1384","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:40Z","sha256":"d5861b4f61be61d2365d38ae246a09915cbc3ac2ce25a090cbf0ca5ba81d0d42","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-18a.175","next":"us-ky/krs-18a.185"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
