{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-18a.202","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 18A.202","heading":"Work-related incentive programs for state employees.","body":"(1) The secretary is authorized to install and implement by administrative regulation\nwork-related incentive programs for state employees. Such programs may include,\nbut need not be limited to, an employee suggestion system whereby employees in\nthe classified service and employees falling under KRS Chapter 16 may be\nrecognized and rewarded for submitting suggestions that result in the improvement\nof state service or in the realization of financial savings by the state. Such programs\nmay provide that when an emp loyee suggestion has been adopted and resulted in a\nfinancial savings to the state, the employee who submitted the suggestion may be\ncompensated for his service through a cash bonus in an amount to the lesser of ten\npercent (10%) of the amount saved or two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500).\n(2) Nothing in this section shall be construed to allow KRS Chapter 16 employees to\ncollect any fees or rewards for performance of acts in the line of duty as prohibited\nin KRS 16.110.","path":["KRS Chapter 18A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1392","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:40Z","sha256":"07a3ed126dfa016c8915d69e75373b02cec6c72faaf1ab5dca97573e2e65e8ad","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-18a.201","next":"us-ky/krs-18a.203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
