{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-18a.265","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 18A.265","heading":"Deferred compensation program to be in addition to retirement or benefit","body":"programs -- Coordination of programs.\n(1) Such a deferred compensation program shall be in addition to any retirement or any\nother benefit program provided by law for employees o f this state. Any income\ndeferred under such a plan shall continue to be included as regular compensation for\nthe purpose of computing the retirement and pension benefits earned by any\nemployee. But, any sum so deducted shall not be included in the computation of any\nincome taxes withheld on behalf of any such employee.\n(2) The board shall, jointly with the board of trustees of the Kentucky retirement\nsystems, prepare and implement a program for advising employees on coordinating\ndeferred compensation plans  and retirement programs in order to achieve their\nretirement objectives.","path":["KRS Chapter 18A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1428","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:40Z","sha256":"05d28aab1806944215d18d38b813c68267598a57861003f447f71dde19eb42bd","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-18a.262","next":"us-ky/krs-18a.270"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
