{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-190.270","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 190.270","heading":"Unlawful acts -- Suspension and revocation schedule for violations.","body":"(1) It is unlawful for any person to advertise for sale, to sell, to use, or to install or to\nhave installed, any device which causes an odometer to register any mileage other\nthan the true mileage driven. For purposes of this section, the true mileage driven is\nthat mileage the vehicle has been driven as registered by the odometer within the\nmanufacturer's designed tolerance.\n(2) It is unlawful for any person or his agent to disconnect, reset, or alter the odometer\nof any motor vehicle or motor home with the intent to change the number of miles\nindicated thereon.\n(3) It is unlawful for any person with the intent to defraud to operate a motor vehicle or\nmotor home on any street or highway knowing that the odometer of such vehicle is\ndisconnected or nonfunctional.\n(4) The commission shall deny, suspend or revoke the license of any person who\nviolates or causes, aids or abets any violation of this section which denial,\nsuspension or revocation may be in addition to, and not exclusive of, any other\npenalties provided for elsewhere in this chapter.","path":["KRS Chapter 190"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=43570","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:45Z","sha256":"0380c537967a0f2d752b1c3d3da96dc904eb28997409a43ae9e12791adef8bfa","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-190.260","next":"us-ky/krs-190.280"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
